It has been recently reported that the Boston Red Sox are amongst several MLB teams currently interested in Hisanori Takahasi. The 35 year old relief pitcher is coming off a solid season with the Giants (not San Francisco) and has reportedly been wanting to jump to an American ballclub.

Report: Red Sox Ink Jeremy Hermida To One Year Deal; Avoid Arbitration

Recently reported in the Boston Globe on Tuesday, it appears as though the Boston Red Sox have once again avoided arbitration; this time with Jeremy Hermida. The deal is supposedly a one year pact worth $3.345 million, which raises his previous salary in 2009 by about one million dollars.

Report: Red Sox Avoid Arbitration With Jonathan Papelbon

According to Gordon Edes of NESN.com and ESPNBoston, it is reported that the Red Sox have come to terms with Jonathan Papelbon to a one year deal worth $9.35 million dollars and can get up to $9.5 million dollars with incentives.
